Content of the Digital Photography Workshop This workshop which will be held in English will last 5 weeks and cover the basics of digital photography using a DSLR camera. Therefore, participants are required to have a DSLR camera. Throughout the course the participants will have the opportunity to explore the basic settings of their DSLR cameras, including modes of shooting, f-stops, shutter speed and ISO for manual use. Utilizing this knowledge of basic settings, participants will discover how to freeze a moment with a meaningful and artistic expression. After exploration of these basics, participants will be introduced to different types of lenses for various genres including portrait and landscape photography. Apart from these, participants will be able to experiment with different effects created by the use of various lenses. In other words, they will manipulate the “depth of field” in order to achieve creative and artistic photos. One of the other components of photography is the knowledge of light. Therefore, participants will also explore light, which will help them to compose more creative and artistic photographic expressions. Lastly, participants will be given brief information about how their outcomes can be digitally manipulated through photoshop and each session will offer a chance to practice the various techniques, and photos will be evaluated and photographers will be given feedback.
